FAQs

Where do I have my trial?

I have a Home Studio based in Chinnor that is available for all clients trials; however I can be mobile and come to the client’s house with a travel charge of 55p per mile.

How Can I Plan for my Trial?

Please provide me with a few hair and/or makeup inspiration photos prior to your trial. We can go through them and see what works best before you decide on the final look. I will take photos of you at the trial so I am prepared for your Wedding day. I welcome feedback whilst doing the trial and am happy to make adjustments, however if a completely different look is wanted, another trial will have to be booked and charged for to accommodate time and materials.

How Should I Prep My Hair?

Please come to your appointment with clean, dry hair. I recommend washing your hair the night before, and not using any hot styling tools such as straighteners or curlers as this can affect the hair when I create your wedding look.

How do I Prep my Face for my Makeup Trial?

Please come to your appointment with a clean face so you are ready to have your makeup done. I will moisturise and prime your face accordingly. If you have a specific makeup product you want to include in the look, e.g a lipstick or mascara, please bring it with you.

What Should I Have at my Trial To Help my Artist?

If you have any known allergies please let me know in advance so I can prepare my kit accordingly for your trial. If you have decided on any hair accessories ahead of time, please have them ready for your Trial so I can incorporate them into the hairstyle for you.

What products do you use in your kit?

I use a variety of luxury, professional products that suit all skin tones and ages. I use a wide selection of Laura Mercier, MAC, Nars, Charlotte Tilbury, Ariane Poole, Too Faced and more.

How Long Will It Take?

Bridal Hair and Makeup trials can take up to 2.5 hours. If you have family members wanting a trial as well e.g. Mother of the Bride, please specify so I can add on the cost of another trial and work out timings.

How do I secure my booking?

Payment for the trial is taken beforehand to cover its cost and to reserve your Wedding Date. Once the trial is completed, half of the total payment is required as a deposit to secure your date. The last half of the payment will be due two weeks before your special day. Payment of the deposit confirms acceptance of my T & C's.

Can I make changes to my booking?

If you decide to add extra services to your booking please let me know so I can accommodate them on the day. I will not be able to add extras if I am not told beforehand as I will have allocated my time accordingly. For large bookings, an assistant fee of £100 will be added to the deposit.

Can I cancel my booking?

If the bride/client decides to cancel the booking the deposit is not refundable. The deposit is so I secure the date for you and subsequently turn down other enquiries for that date. If cancellation is due to special circumstances you may be able to transfer your deposit to another future date if I am available. I will try and cater to your needs as much as I can.
